Fundal Reflex Test

As part of the University of St Andrews Arclight Project Social Enterprise, a number of instructional videos were developed including how to perform and interpret the fundal (aka ‘red’) reflex test – https://youtu.be/wCdbRxsWa6U. This test can help identify childhood eye disease including retinoblastoma at an earlier stage. The videos have been translated into a number of different languages. More videos and more languages will come online in the near future. Dr. Ido Didi Fabian received his MD in 2008 from the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel. He trained in ophthalmology at The Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, where he now serves as a consultant ocular oncologist. He has spent three years with the ocular oncology team at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Dr. Fabian joined The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine as a clinical researcher in 2017, and serves since as the principal investigator of the Rb-NET. His research studies focus on global aspects of retinoblastoma, and he has recently initiated the Rb-NET MDT project.
